Reinforced Concrete Basics has been written for students and practising structural engineers. This third edition became necessary because of important changes recently made to AS 3600. These include new approaches to calculating crack widths and to design for shear and torsion, as well as changes in the capacity reduction factors (f), and hence the implied safety levels in the AS 3600 design procedures.
