This is the sequel to Sarindi and the Lucky Bird, which was shortlisted for the Children's Book Council Book of the Year Awards, 2002, and highly commended for Younger Readers in the Australian Family Therapists' Award for Children's Literature 2002.

About the Author

Janine M. Fraser's Sarindi and the Lucky Bird was also shortlisted in the New South Wales Premier's Awards in 2002. She also wrote Abdullah's Butterfly. Janine lives in Riddell's Creek, Victoria.

About the Illustrator

Elise Hurst is a full-time artist and writer who lives in Melbourne. She has over fifty books to her credit, including The Night Garden, which was shortlisted for the Children's Book Council Book of Australia Awards in 2008.
