Slow Down, Busy Bee

Slow Down, Busy Bee is a series of short stories about mindfulness by writer, Trevor James. Utilizing a centering technique sometimes referred to as 5-4-3-2-1 (which engages the 5 senses as a way to connect with the present moment), Slow Down, Busy Bee introduces the concept of mindfulness in an accessible, fun, and engaging way. The story also introduces the always-buzzing Busy Bee, his home in a pristine wildflower meadow, and the meadow's wise old bee - who serves as Busy Bee's mindful mentor. Walking with Ghosts is a courageous examination of the painful and formative experiences of how Gabriel Byrne became who he is today. With poetic sensibility he recalls the people, landscapes and culture that have influenced his life and work. Defiantly original, this is both a candid exploration of the ambivalence of fame, and a lyrical often heartbreaking account of boyhood in an Ireland now largely disappeared.
