About the Author

Sheena Byrom is a practising midwife and author, and writes and lectures regularly on various midwifery-related topics on a national level.

Soo Downe spent 15 years working as a midwife in various clinical, research, and project development roles. She currently chairs the UK Royal College of Midwives Campaign for Normal Birth steering committee. Together they previously edited The Roar Behind the Silence (Pinter & Martin). Sheena's first book, Catching Babies, was published in 2011 to rave reviews (Headline).
