About the Author

Terri Owbridge is a qualified journalist with a graduate certificate in book publishing and editing. She’s had articles published with Fairfax Media, The Herald Sun and Australian Geographic Magazine. For the past eight years Terri has worked in corporate communications across multiple well-renowned organisations. Her debut picture book, Sticking Out, shares her most valuable life lesson for fellow introverts – social interactions are actually really fun! Terri currently lives in Perth with her husband, daughter, hundreds of fish and one mischievous cat.

About the Illustrator

Emma Stuart has been illustrating children’s books for the past 11 years. In this time, she has illustrated over 30 books. Emma works primarily with watercolours but also works with acrylics, oils, pen and ink and pencil. Her characters are full of life and bring a real sense of light heartedness to the reader.

Emma can work in a large range of genres and styles, from highly detailed realism to simple character-based illustration. Recently nominated by Luerzer’s Archive Magazine to appear in “Best 200 illustrators worldwide” 11/12 issue. As well as illustration, Emma exhibits work regularly.
