Roy P. Benavidez is a man who struggled through disappointing circumstances as a young child, overcame prejudice and discrimination, conquered paralysis, fought through two tours in Vietnam and became an American icon, a hero. Roy never took credit for being a hero. In fact, he'd always say, "I am not a hero. The heroes are the ones who never came back. The heroes are the ones who are laying in their graves... the ones who gave up their tomorrows for our todays." This is the story of what made Roy the man we all admire.
