Throughout Batson's civilian and military careers, he published books, developed unique inventions, initiated and managed numerous innovative and lasting programs that continue to contribute to society's improvement today, while sculpting, painting pictures, and composing poetry and prose. He significantly contributed to communities where he resided, remaining heavily involved promoting the advancement of Christianity, moral family values, and the welfare of surrounding communities. He provided sound mentoring for youth through teaching morally positive and caring family values, e.g. Christian Churches, Kiwanis International, Boy Scouts of America, Disabled American Veterans, and American Legion, with an ever-driving intent to improve his beloved country and this confused, needy world.
