About the Author

Isabelle Knight was born and bred in Norwich and took part in live re-enactments of workhouse life at Gressenhall as a girl. She has worked extensively in young people's theatre, including the YSC, touring UK schools. She is the founder of the literary event Books Talk Back, has written and presented for local community radio and currently works as a bookseller at Waterstones, Norwich Castle Street and UEA. She has performed a reading from the book at Gressenhall's Summer Story Festival 2015, and is planning future events.
