This is the story of the oo. Its an amusing sound for all of you.

The Oo in Uluru is a fun Australian-themed phoneme story that teaches young readers about the vowel sound oo and where they can find it in different words.

About the Author

When Judith first read Oh, the Places You Will Go! to children at an international school in Italy, the repetition of the sounds and letters seemed to resonate in Dr Seuss’ fun and whimsical stories. The children would recall the sounds and manipulate the letters to make different words. However, while attempting to master the many vagaries of spelling it became much, more of a challenge.

About the Illustrator

Originally from New Zealand, Janie’s childhood was spent in the southern City of Dunedin, where she attended art school and then went on to train as an Art Teacher. Many years were spent inspiring children with her love for drawing, painting and playing with art materials.

In 2006 Janie moved to Australia with her family and now lives in Foster, South Gippsland, a hub of artistic talent. Janie holds children’s art classes in her studio, Art Blast, that looks directly toward Wilsons Promontory where amazing changing colours of the sky can be seen throughout the seasons. This is where Janie spends most of her time, usually with her naughty border collie Lucy snuggled under her feet.
