Despite having no science background, Dr Sivak's book is able to make simplify the skincare industry to me, how FDA work, INCI rules, why things are like so, marketing tricks, plant extracts (how using different parts of the same plant can have different effects) etc, products with little or no actives out there, being on the inside, she sees it all and the most rare part is she shares it.
