If you don't know about your vagus nerve, this book is a good starting place. The first few chapters explore what the nerve is and what it does (hint: it goes everywhere and does everything. :D). The next few chapters talk about how to recognize vagal nerve dysfunction. The last few chapters provide a huge variety of self-help exercises and practices to help tone and strengthen the nerve.What this book does is to provide the most comprehensive list I have seen so far of self-help exercises for healing the nerve and strengthening vagal tone. You'll find bits and pieces of these ideas scattered all over the Internet and YouTube but it's really helpful and time-saving to have a comprehensive list like this all in one place. Some techniques are physical and some are mental.
