About the Author

Rei Toma has been drawing since childhood, but she only began drawing manga because of her graduation project in design school. When she drew a short-story manga,Help Me, Dentist, for the first time, it attracted a publisher's attention and she made her debut right away. Her magnificent art style became popular, and after she debuted as a manga artist, she became known as an illustrator for novels and video game character designs. Her current manga series, Dawn of the Arcana, is her first long-running manga series, and it has been a hit in Japan, selling over a million copies.
Industry Reviews
"Characters are all well designed. Asahi and Subaru are so well illustrated that I almost couldn’t contain my inner “awwws”, and the occasional gushing. The water god is also stunningly beautiful, like an elegant noble lady." - The Button Smashers

"I really like how much depth this volume had. It reveals a lot more about the world, shows how strong Asahi and Subaru have grown, and brings about more plot threads to create tension and conflict, which is what makes stories like this go round." - Fandom Post

"Toma’s sophomore US release shows growth from her previous Dawn of the Arcana; where that felt stale, this has charm and relatability, instantly drawing the reader in. Attractive character designs and whimsical portrayals make this story all that you want in a shojo manga." - Publishers Weekly
