As they question their father about the Letters of Paul and other interesting parts of the New Testament the Apostle Paul appears as a 3D hologram. Sometimes members of their extended and blended family are transported to places where the real issues of the letters are explained in the way children and young people can understand... at other times 'Bible' characters are transported into the home.
Capture part of the first adventure where the shepherds heard the angels announce the birth of Jesus:
"Tell us about the Shepherds who came to visit Jesus just after He was born," was the last thing Dad heard the children ask, as golden stardust and a soft blue light surrounded the trio and whipped them into one of the most amazing adventure of their lives. Head-over-heels, with clothes flying everywhere, they blinked, gasped and held their breath, as father and children landed feet-first right beside a mob of sheep, their shepherds and a bright light shining from a huge group of angels lying together in the night sky.
Somehow, they knew they were invisible to everyone around... even their footsteps wouldn't leave a mark and they couldn't be heard or felt by the people they met. Time-travel wouldn't hurt them and was as safe as walking into another room. Almost immediately, one of the heavenly messengers stepped out of the dazzling light and announced, "OK you guys, listen carefully... I've some pretty amazing news for you!"
"It's an angel..." whispered Natalie. "I've never seen an angel before... WOW! And the light's full of angels all singing at the top of their voices!"
Or another adventure to see Jesus walking on water...
"LOOK," screamed Nat to her Dad who had turned to face the light. "What is it!?" Dad was still smiling, but the other men in the boat [who couldn't see or hear us] had their eyes wide open in absolute fear. They'd even let go of the ropes on the sails and they were flapping everywhere.
"It's Jesus!" called Graeme, who suddenly remembered the Bible story. "It's Jesus walking on water."
Or when the children ask about the Book of Galatians...
"Sure is," smiled Dad as he took Helen's hand and looked towards the mat beside the table. "Look..."
Graeme and Natalie were used to stardust and swirling golden-blue-light but getting used to the 3D hologram of Paul projected into their home was another thing. Ever since Rachel had been staying over each week the children's adventures had taken a different turn.
