Trinny Woodall is a household name in the UK and in many places around the world for her straight-talking fashion advice and acumen. She is primarily a fashion and makeover expert, as well as an entrepreneur, businesswoman, television presenter, and an author.
She rose to fame with her weekly style guide, Ready to Wear, that she ran for The Daily Telegraph for seven years. She, and co-host Susannah Constantine, offered their fashion insights five nights a week on What Not to Wear, for which they won a Royal Television Society Award.
Not one to rest on her – very stylish – laurels, Trinny has also gone on to publish her own book. Fearless is a lifestyle and fashion bible that helps women to define their style, discover colours that suit them best, determine a great skin routine, and of course, to discover how to dress.
Meet Trinny Woodall
Trinny Woodall, AKA Sarah-Jane Duncanson Woodall, was born in London, England in 1964. She attended boarding school from the age of six, and spent much of her childhood moving around with her parents travels.
When she returned to London, she felt like she didn’t fit in, and eventually turned to drugs. After seeing four of her friends pass away within a year, she found the motivation to get clean and had two stints in rehab in her 20s.
Trinny had always had an affinity for fashion, and would often help out friends with styling and advice. She then noticed that there was nothing available in the media to help women with fashion and styling, so she came up with the idea for a newspaper column, connected with Susannah Constantine, and got to work.
She has since hosted numerous television shows, contributed as a makeover and fashion expert on The Oprah Winfrey Show, won a slew of awards, and sold more than 3 million copies of fashion advice books.
Known for her dazzling personality and unreserved authenticity, Trinny has become the go-to guru for fashion and style advice for countless women around the globe.
