"As a first time mum, nothing was scarier to me than becoming a parent.

I am blessed to have a big circle of family and friends, but as more and more women my age become Mums, I would see them struggle to hold on to who they were and get sucked into the baby vacuum so to speak! This thought scared me so when I was pregnant I vowed I wouldn’t get lost in a world of The Wiggles and endless repeats of the same tired children's books (although who doesn’t relate to the The Very Hungry Caterpillar, that book is the business).

This is how A B to Jay-Z (my other child) was born. As a hip-hop obsessed mum, I thought why not combine both my worlds to create something that parents and children can both enjoy. After all, I wasn't ready to sacrifice my Drake and Tupac Spotify playlists for Baby Shark remixes.
