
Yvette Poshoglian
Yvette is the author of the Frankie Fox Girl Spy series as well as the bestselling Ella and Olivia series for younger readers. Yvette has always worked with words: as a high school English teacher, a journalist and before that, in the world of book publishing.
Yvette also has a mad passion for Sydney’s history and wrote My Australian Story : Escape from Cockatoo Island, set in the year 1879 and which delves into Sydney’s colonial history of girls’ industrial schools, in particular the Biloela Reformatory on Cockatoo Island.
Yvette is Sydney born and bred and holds a BA in English Literature and Government and International Relations (University of Sydney), a Bachelor of Secondary Teaching (UTS) and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism (UTS). Yvette is also the North Sydney Council Writer in Residence in 2015 and is working with the local community on an exciting writing project!
