Jazz is stuck in the middle of everything. She's the middle of school, sports, and even her family. All she wants is to be special.

On her birthday, someone shows up to reveal a secret: Jazz is special! At the moment Jazz turns nine, she gets her Zest. She begins to see a hidden world full of fairies, unicorns, and dragons. Jazz knows her life is never going to be the same.
