About the Authors
Eliza Hull is an award-winning musician, writer and disability advocate. Her music has been described as ‘stirring, captivating and heartfelt.’ Eliza is a proud disabled person, with a physical condition ‘Charcot Marie Tooth.’ She is the creator and editor of ‘We’ve Got This – stories by disabled parents’ the book which features disabled parents from around Australia. She also has a children’s book ‘Come Over To My House’ that authentically portrays families with disability.
Eliza is fresh from Austin, Texas where she spoke on a panel about accessibility in the music industry and performed at SXSW Festival with Sounds Australia, and was recently awarded the Music Victoria ‘Amplify’ award, the APRA mentorship for women in music and the National Leadership Award from the Australia Council and Arts Access Australia.
Sally Rippin is one of Australia’s best-selling and most-beloved children’s authors. She has written over 50 books for children and young adults, and her mantel holds numerous awards for her writing. Best known for her Billie B Brown and Hey Jack!, and Polly and Buster series, Sally loves to write stories with heart, as well as characters that resonate with children, parents and teachers alike.
About the Illustrator
Daniel Gray-Barnett is an illustrator and author from the Huon Valley in lutruwita/Tasmania. He likes to think of himself as someone who was put on this planet to tell a few stories before he turns into a grumpy old man. He’s worked with clients including Disney, Kiehl’s, Sydney Opera House and The New York Times and his first picture book, Grandma Z, won a Children’s Book Council of Australia award for Best New Illustrator.
When he’s not in the studio, he can be found daydreaming in the garden with his husband, German pointers and chickens.
