This book presents a systematic treatment of parametric down-conversion for the generation of nonclassical state of light and its applications in generating various kinds of quantum entanglement among multiple photons from parametric down-conversion. The emphasis is on the applications of the principle of quantum interference to multi-photon systems, which include the Hong-Ou-Mandel interferometer and the Franson Interferometer for two-photon system, quantum state teleportation, and swapping for four-photon system, and quantum state reconstruction for multi-photon system. The subject of continuous variable entanglement is dealt with to close the book. A unique feature of the book is its complete coverage of various types of multi-photon interference effects.
