- To enter the Competition, an eligible person must enter during the Competition Period: Visit https://www.instagram.com/booktopiabook (Booktopia Instagram Page) and follow the details requested on the competition post, including following the @booktopiabooks and like the post.
- Entry to “Win a Fantasy Book Pack!” (Competition) is free and is open to residents of Australia over the age of 18 years. The competition is open to Australian residents only. Multiple entries from an eligible person are allowed but they must be unique.
- Competition commences Xpm (AEST) on 23 January 2025 and final entries close at 11.59pm (AEST) 29 January, 2025 (Competition Period)
- Employees of Penguin Random House or Booktopia and the employees’ immediate family may not enter the competition. “Immediate family” means mum, dad, brother, sister, step-parent, or step-sibling
- This competition is a game of skill and entrants are required to demonstrate skill, talent, creativity and/or imagination in their answer in order to compete
- Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be judged based on its creative merit by the Booktopia panel of judges. The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Competition is final
- There is 1 (one) prize available.
- The prize is 4 books: Live for Me by Lauren Jackson, A Court this Cruel and Lovely by Stacia Stark, The Half King by Melissa Landers, and Heavenly Bodies by Imani Erriu.
- The Gift Certificate will be delivered via Australia Post to the winner’s nominated address, as provided to the Promoter.
- The Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash
- The maximum total prize pool is valued at $91.96.
- The winners will be contacted before 5.00pm (AEST) 17 January 2025, via Instagram Direct Messages. The winners may be announced in the competition’s post comments and shared to Stories.
- The winners must acknowledge the direct message within 2 business days to claim the prize. If the prize is unclaimed, Booktopia may conduct a redraw until a winner can be found.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any delay or failure by the third party to deliver the prize, or otherwise concerning the prize itself.
- The Promoter and the related bodies corporate of the Promoter will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from negligence) in connection with the Competition or acceptance or use of the Prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify, reject and/or disqualify any entries into the Competition (including after the winner has been determined and notified), including in circumstances where:
the winner is unable to or refuses or fails to take part in any element of the Competition;
the winner is unable to provide identification as required by the Promoter to the Promoter’s satisfaction;
the winner provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information;
the entry does not comply with any of these terms and conditions; or
the entry is submitted by any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Competition or who acts in breach of these terms and conditions or who annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other person associated with the operation of the Competition
- The Promoter collects and stores personal information about an entrant for the purposes of prize fulfilment. The Promoter may disclose the entrant’s personal information to its promotional partners, contractors and agents to assist in prize fulfilment. - The Promoter may withdraw the Competition at any time or amend these terms and conditions in its sole and absolute discretion without any further notice to an eligible person or an entrant.
- This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook (Meta). By entering this competition, you agree to release Facebook from any loss or damage you suffer from your entry into this competition. By entering, entrants confirm that they are 18+ years of age, release Facebook of responsibility, and agree to Facebook’s terms of use.
